ECHO Colorado
Extension for Community Health Outcomes (ECHO) is an innovative distance learning initiative using online, live-video instruction. It was originally founded to connect medical specialists to geographically isolated primary care providers concerning specific diseases, like Hepatitis C or asthma. Expanding medical expertise for these practitioners results in more treatment options available at lower costs for rural and underserved populations. Originating at the University of New Mexico, Project ECHO now has affiliate organizations in many states and covers dozens of conditions.
In partnership with CALPHO, ECHO Colorado is adapting this learning model to public health. New topics for public health professionals will focus on primary prevention and public health system improvement. We are currently exploring new topic ideas for potential future learning series. If you have any ideas, please email us. We would love to hear from you! |
