Timeline Discussion
Steering Committee Update
The initial meeting of the 25-member Steering Committee was held on January 16th – the list of the members can be found HERE. Work focused on team building, charge and role review, charter development and timeline. Fabulous energy, enthusiasm and expertise! The Steering committee will be selecting 1-urban and 1-rural co-chairs. Then next meeting is February 14th.
Foundational Public Health Focus Groups
All Focus Groups are open to CALPHO and CDPHE representatives and are facilitated by CALPHO and/or CDPHE. Meetings to develop descriptions of the capabilities and services occurred throughout December and January. These descriptions will be included in the “Core Services” rule revision. Meetings continue in February to complete the definitions and operationalization for the “Minimum Standards” rule and the cost assessment. Please continue to participate and encourage subject matter staff to participate - we need your input. All meetings are available via ZOOM
The State Board of Health Request for Rulemaking in February is related to the “Core Services” rule only (6 CCR 1014-7). Four Capability descriptions were approved at the January Transformation meeting, and work will continue on the remaining capability and service descriptions through February 1. The draft rule revision can be found HERE, and public comment will be open after the request for rule making hearing February 20th.
